Event FAQ

1.     What are the ticket prices?

1.     Regular tickets: $60 (available online through 2/23)

2.     Early Bird (through 1/21) & Flash Sale tickets: $50, sporadic occurrences! 

3.     Coralwood Staff Member ONLY tickets: $15 

4.     Tickets purchased at the door of event will be $70

5.  Tickets are digital! Just let us know your name at the door, no paper ticket or receipt necessary!

6.  +**UPDATE NEW THIS YEAR***The auction will have an in-person AND ONLINE  component for teacher experiences and classroom art projects. It will be open to those who purchase an online bidding ticket for $10 and those attending the auction!

2.     What is included in the ticket cost?

Full buffet dinner from Copelands of New Orleans Restaurant, dessert, alcoholic beverages (wine, beer, signature cocktail), non-alcoholic beverages, dancing (DJ), live & silent auction access, priceless memories supporting a wonderful school! 

3.     Where is the event located? 

Briarcliff Woods Beach Club: 1830 Morris Landers Dr Atlanta, GA 30345

4.     What parking arrangements are available?

On-site parking lot and street parking, however Ride-share is encouraged.

5.     Is the event safe/secure?

The Briarcliff Woods Beach Club is a private event space. There will be hired security, from 7pm-11pm. Invites have been sent to families of Coralwood, sponsors & community partners of the Coralwood Foundation, teachers/staff, and shared on our social channels.

6.     How do I buy a ticket on-site at the event?

There will be an opportunity to purchase a ticket at the door by credit card. This is a cash-free event, NO CASH will be accepted for purchases on-site.

7.     Can I get a refund if I change my mind about attending?

No, we are not offering refunds for tickets purchased, however, you can transfer them to someone else to attend. 

8.     I can’t pay by credit card; is there an alternate payment method?

We will also accept a Check, but this is a cash-free event. For security purposes, NO CASH will be accepted for purchases on-site.

9.     Why should I pre-register my Credit Card when I purchase tickets? 

As a convenience, and to improve the flow of event entry & check-out, we encourage guests to pre-register a credit card within the Greater Giving platform. You may do so by checking the box “I authorize Coralwood Foundation, Inc. to use the credit card entered on the submission page at event Krewe of Coralwood 2024 Auction.” Having a card already on file helps our “check-out staff” ensure that all bids & purchases associated with your name and bid number were charged to the appropriate place.  

10. How secure are my credit card details? 

Credit card information is only used to transmit credit card transactions from the software to the bank. In addition, Greater Giving is in compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard. Since we process credit card transactions for our clients and their supporters, ensuring the privacy and security of your information is an integral part of Greater Giving’s services and is the top priority for our operations. 11. I have special accessibility needs/dietary requirements; can you accommodate me?

The BCWBC has a wheelchair accessible ramp and handicap restroom stalls. There will be vegetarian and gluten free dinner and dessert options. Should you have any outstanding concerns, please reach out directly to president@coralwoodschool.com.

12. Is there a dress code for the event? What attire is recommended?

The theme for the night is “The Krewe of Coralwood’s Mardi Gras Ball”, so please wear whatever will make you feel the most comfortable and festive, however you prefer to “Shine On” for Coralwood! That said, we fully encourage all extravagant ensembles, or you may consider wearing the traditional Carnival colors of purple, green and gold. The auction planning krewe will likely be “Mardi Gras festive” in “dressy/cocktail” attire. Beaded necklaces & other fun accessories will be available upon arrival (first come, first serve), but feel free to bring your own unique Mardi Gras mask or trinkets.  

13. What will the event agenda and schedule be?

The event begins at 7pm with a full dinner buffet catered by Copelands of New Orleans Restaurant, open bar, silent auction, music & dancing! Throughout the evening, we will have announcements from the DJ, guest alumni speakers, optional events like the “wine pull”, a LIVE auction and other surprises! The auction portion of the evening will end around ~9pm to begin “check-out”, while music & dancing continues. The entire event will conclude at 11pm. We welcome anyone able to stay for event breakdown & cleanup assistance from 11pm-12am.

14. How can I help? 

The Auction Committee will gladly welcome any assistance on the day-of the event. Please reach out to mindymzeh@gmail.com if you’re interested in getting involved. There will likely be a Sign-Up Genius for specific volunteer responsibilities as the event gets closer.  

15. How does the live and silent auction work?

The live and silent auction will take place at the event.

The silent auction may be done with paper and pencil and the live auction

items will be done with an auctioneer and bid paddles.

There may be a online component that is TBD.

16. What if I want to bid on an auction item but can’t make it to the event?

We are only allowing bidding on items if you attend the event. We may have some classroom items or experiences online, this is TBD.

17.What are the types of auction items that will be available?

Auction packages range in category & price. They will include local experiences for all ages, gift cards, vacation homes, sporting event tickets, fitness vouches, teacher experiences for students, Coralwood classroom art PLUS MORE! Visit our package preview!

Each year we fund projects in one or more of the Foundation’s three focus areas: technology, infrastructure, and teacher training.

Here are some examples:

·         Homecoming Event 

·         In-school Arts Education: Alliance Theater & Center for Puppetry Arts Performances 

·         Higher Opportunities for Teachers (HOT) training and professional development 

·         STEM Lab supplies

·         Classroom, art, music and PE supplies and curriculum resources 

·         Playground equipment 

·         Sensory hallway installation & other sensory equipment 

·         Nature trail improvements and maintenance 

·         Outdoor classroom and learning garden
